@vroom
Pansexual looks like a really fun candy!

@vroom I would argue that the two middle are essentially the same thing but I'm open to being convinced otherwise.

From what I know of language, omni and pan are simply the same prefix from different languages

Poly of course, I would argue is the most progressive in that it says "I have multiple sexual orientations but it's none of your business where I lie"

Bi would just signify that you don't mind either sex, but that you prefer boy or girl gendered individuals as opposed to NB, trans, etc

@brandon @vroom bi uses the prefix meaning ‘two’ because its an old term, not because it has anything to do with the binary

The most popular current definitions are ‘attracted to two or more genders’ (note: does not specify which two) and ‘attracted to genders both similar and different from ones own’

Also sex isn’t particularly binary either, more of a gradient really

@brandon @vroom The words are very synonymous in use, to the point where trying to draw the distinction is almost comical because there is no clear defacto statement of any difference. Pansexual for example was starting to be used in place of Bisexual because they wanted a less binary term. The word itself dates back to Freud who used it to express that every action of humans has its root in sexuality.

@vroom I'm not looking to be prescriptive, I'm more questioning whether my interpretations are apt/correct

@brandon man I havent heard of omnisexual until I saw the image. Id probably just ask someone who is omnisexual what it means. could be a case where people are differentiating themselves from pansexual for whatever reason or perhaps it means something wildly different.
