People build tech. People use tech. You cannot have tech without people. So, yes, people will be bringing politics, rights, and representation into tech with them.
The only people I see whining about politics being brought into tech are (checks notes) oh look. White men.

Few want to face the fact that much of their supposed genius tends to come from the fact they grew up with enough resources to have computer time available to them at a young age. And part of the conflict is that the younger generation coming in, who had less of a wealth barrier, is more diverse.
